Boyz II Men, one of the greatest vocal groups …ever?? maybe…anyways, they are back with their 3rd covers album, this time titled “Love”; an album covering some of music’s greatest love songs.
This is blatantly one of my fav Take That songs (what? Take That are sick, Gary Barlow is a badderman songwriter….hold tight N Dubz in the studio with him….random…but true)

The king of the RnB game is back to take his throne (Chris Brown, Ne Yo, Trey Songz, you can step down now).
Usher premiered his new single ‘Papers’ earlier today online. Let me be the first (or 154,165 online…shame) to say, welcome back Mr Raymond, welcome back.
After the mediocre performance/buzz/quality of his last album ‘Here I Stand’, I found myself for the first time in my life, not anticipating an Usher album…
It’s not that I’m a hater etc etc, but ask anyone who’s had a convo about RnB with me, and they’ll tell you I consider “confessions” to be one of the greatest rnb albums of all time (don’t argue it, its true. Accept that I’m right on this). so when “Here I Stand” came and left me feeling ….meh…..I lost a bit of interest..
Then….
He drops this beast of a record out of nowhere! This is the first official single from his forthcoming album”Raymond Vs Raymond” (formally titled Monster…which was a shit album title, so well done Urrrsh, right decision). Written by probably the most successful contemporary RnB songwriter, Sean Garrett aka The Pen, ‘Papers’ is a very personal record, which basically talks about his divorce with that Tameka chick ( I aint a gossip guy, I know her name was Tameka, she was older than him, and his mum hated her…).
Welcome back Usher. Don’t get married again. Your music gets shit when you get a wife. You make the best music when your cheating on members of TLC, or Divorcing older women…..keep it up.
So what I genuinely think is the best rnb single to have come out of the UK in years (real talk), finally get’s its official release October 26th. McLean, formally known as Digga is an incredible singer and extremely talented songwriter who I gave the DJ B Recommends treatment here back in February (and I showcased the remix featuring Tinie Tempah….here).

Watch out for McLean….. I predict his debut album is gonna be a seriously solid piece of work. He’s been in the studio with Fraser T Smith and the tracks are Siiiiick!
