TQ…..Most people think he was a bit shit. Or at least think he only had one good song (Westside)….what they don’t realise is that his debut album “They Never Saw Me Coming” was actually a late 90’s slept on classic (swear down).
People who haven’t heard the album always just look at me a little strange, like I’ve just called their mum a horse or something. Always an element of disgust in their expression….BUT…I stand by my statement.
The album reminds me of secondary school sooooo badly. It dropped in about 1999 and it was somewhat of a treasured classic in my year at school. We all knew the album word for word…very strange. But true, oh so very true.
Sick album that had some heavy guest features in the form of E40, Too Short, and Tha Dogg Pound. Here are some of the hottest tracks off this severely slept on album.
***TQ FACT – Jazze Jazze “>Pha featured heavily throughout the album as a producer…old skool Jazze Phizzle!***
*please note TQ made no more good songs after this album…and he was once signed to cash money….that worked out brilliantly for him*
Obviously “Westside”
& Bye Bye Baby
…but this is when the album became heavy. The album tracks were sick!
“When I Get Out” - fuck what you say, incredible slow jam
